Uldarico Malaspina

 

is a full professor at the Sciences Department of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and has oriented about fifteen MSc thesis on mathematics education. He is a mathematician and obtained his Doctor degree in Sciences at the PUCP. His researches are in mathematics education, mainly on the role of intuition in the solving of optimization problems (paper published in Educational Studies of Mathematics, 2010, vol 75, 1) and in the last six years on problem posing. He has presented research reports and lectures on problem posing and problem solving at recognized international congresses on mathematical education, like PME (2009, 2010 and 2014), CERME (2011 and 2015), ICME (2008, 2012 and 2016), CIAEM (2011 and 2015).
