Paola Nicolini



was born on 1956, in Ancona (Italy). She is Associate Professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy in the University of Macerata. She is also involved in the Faculty of Education Sciences, both in the presence and in the on line courses. She is interested in the study on psycholinguistic aspects of teaching-learning processes, investigating the semantic and pragmatic interpretation of the speech acts. A second trend of research, sprung out from the first, is the education of teachers and of socio- psycho- pedagogic operators, with a special reference to verbal interaction analysis within educational relationships. She also deals with Multiple Intelligence Theory and its applications in children education with a cross-cultural approach.
She mainly adopts in her works a socio-constructivist theoretical framework.
