Thomas Udelhoven

 

has been working in the field of environmental remote sensing and geoinformatics since 1992 in the framework of many international research projects. He received his PhD degree 1997 at Trier University. From 2007 until 2010 he headed the Geomatics platform at the Centre de Recherche Public Gabriel Lippmann (Luxembourg). Since 2010 he is full professor in the remote sensing department at Trier University. His main research topics include environmental modelling, the retrieval of biochemical and structural properties of vegetation and soils using airborne and satellite remote sensing data, pattern recognition, and (geo-)statistics. He is author and co-author of many publications in this area.
