Andrew King


 

graduated from the University of Leeds in 2007 with a BSc (hons) in Sport and Exercise Science. Since then he has completed his MSc degree in Exercise Physiology and gained several years of research experience before accepting a PhD bursary at Leeds Metropolitan University at the start of 2012. Andy’s research expertise lies in the field of fuel utilisation and endurance exercise, particularly the provision and utilisation of carbohydrates. Other fields of interest are environmental and ‘extreme/ultra event’ physiology and the preparation and performance of athletes within this domain. Andy also works in an applied setting with high level cyclists providing physiological and nutritional support.
